andronicus37m asked: This is a question about Texas Hold’em Poker. Ten-handed table with blinds 200/100 and 25 antes. I was in the big blind with 10-10. Everyone folds to the button, who raises 800. The small blind calls. I figure the button is probably trying to steal, so I call too. There is now 3050 in the pot. The flop comes down 3s-9c-4s. The small blind checks to me. Since I have a pair higher than the board, a backdoor spade flush, and I think the button might be bluffing, I bet out 1700 (a little more than half the pot). The button calls and the small blind bets about 9000 all-in, which is about half my remaining stack. So I’m getting 2-1 odds with a pair of tens facing an all-in bet with one person behind me. NOW — *I* think the obvious thing to do here is fold. However, my computer (yes, this was a computer game) says I should call, and I read some advice by a championship player about a very similar situation and he also recommended calling. Opinions? (Please be nice. *smile*)

Carly asked: I’m Free:
It’s 10:21
and the tears are done
all that i weep
drift me off to sleep
with my lights dimmed low
and my pillow wet
i fail to mend my heart
with my big regret
eat me up inside
although you say you care
your half-assed lies
proved your heart wasnt there
your signs were there
but i chose to ignore them
im not like those girls
who follow your system
your perfect exterior
is a distraction, at best,
to hide your distaste
and scummy uninterest
but it took just one second
to be instantly hooked
like a dealer with meth
or a nerd and his books
but after it took me 15 years
to build my self-love
and i learned to stay strong
from the Lord up above
it’s incredibly hard
to give up an addiction
but i dont live in a world
of fantasy or fiction
so im walking away
no matter how hard it may be
i can finally say,
“Hey look, Tyler, I’m free!”
Call my Bluff:
You keep me up at night
my mind consumed with thoughts of you
a smile is plastered across my face
at what you make me want to do
the giddiness inside of me
makes my fragile heart skip a beat
you blush, i stare into your blue eyes
that moment is oh so bittersweet
let me steal just one more kiss
i can’t seem to get enough
i cant keep on this poker face
so baby you can call my bluff
my heart spins around
just like a carousel
with your arms around my waist
i want to hold you close as well
yes, you keep me up
at all hours of the night
i think of you by my side
and drift because it feels so right

My a Momma Mia asked: I think that the only reason why Russia does not want to allow the Missle Defense system in Poland is because #1. He is still mad that they lost Poland #2 They have plans to go back to either communism or some kind of radical form of government #3 It is actually China that is telling Putin to oppose this because they are in the process of forming a new world power together #4 We didnt let them put missles in Cuba #5 He will do opposite of whatever the US does #6 He wants it to be put in Russia so he can steal our intelligence #7 they are still mad that Reagan pulled the greatest bluff of all time ( Star Wars LOL) - and waited years to “show his cards” (in poker terms - they are on tilt) #8 He sees that Hillary is about to become President and he sees it as his chance to invade and conquer the US (with China) #9 He secretly hates Jews and does not want to protect Israel from Iran

Josh H asked: every day we play the game of life and we do it well. do we play chess or do we play poker. basically I talking about how we solve problems. some people are calculative {chess} and some people bluff there way through life {poker}.
which is the way you solve problems and why.
here some examples of how each work.
poker solution: when someone his holding something good against you. you instaly solution and bluff an say you have something better or try to by them off.
chess solution to that problem: you think for hours as you come up with a way to solve the problem. eventually putting the other person in check mate.
I kind of both
p.s. you can go with another game for your answer if you’ like.

greeneyedevil asked: Just lost money on a poker hand where someone bluffed and then made their hand in an extremly unlikely fashion. . .
Here’s a rhyming poem, off the cuff - because I’m bored right now, and sitting out of poker for a few minutes to relax.
Lots of Flies
Deceit and its use.
Just start with the truth,
make room to use
cues and clues
to loosen and fuse
the you with the ruse.
Slighting the lies,
the sly can’t deny
they righteously cry
beguile and contrive
but never imply
that they falsify.
So, do you like it or not?

mousybabie asked: There was a show that was on over five years ago I think. It revolved around a girl in her late teens who was the middle child in a large family. Her oldest brother was somewhat of a gambler with a red convertible (I think) and always took care of his hair. The second oldest brother was a really religious guy and he played the guitar. I want to say the actor was Adam Brody but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t. Next was the girl. She had blond hair and was slightly chunky but not overweight. Then the youngest two were twins. They were redheads and were kind of mischievous. Then there were the parents, one of them I thought was played by Fred Willard but I don’t see the show’s title under his filmography. Lastly, there was the grandmother who lived with them as well. She was a widow and i remember one episode where the whole family was fighting and she was quiet but in a hushed and sad tone said how that day would have been her 50th or so anniversary if her husband were still alive. In another episode, the oldest brother learns that the deed to the house actually belongs to him so he goes out and gambles it away. The father ends up saving the house by challenging the guy the son lost the deed to in a poker match and only winning because of his poker face and bluffing. If anyone remembers the show’s name that would be a great big help! Thanks!!
not, it’s not 7th Heaven. yes, i checked Fred Willard and Adam Brody’s imdb page.
and no it’s not the brainy bunch or rugrats
