One of the most impotant thing you look for, in you opponents game is : BETTING PATTERNS. It might be your problem too. Your way of betting is maybe predictable.
If I can help you with that feel free to contact me on my site.
Take care
If you’re serious about playing poker, you could avoid drinking and wear sunglasses. Of course that could take away a lot of the fun in playing card games.
Probably the first thing to notice is what you do with your cards while you’re playing. For example in Texas Hold’em, a common tell is when a player (who wants to play on) peaks into his hand a number of times. If he peaks more often, that person is thinking real hard about playing on. He’s not confident he has a strong enough hand to win. It’s a common human trait to closely look at your hand before making a critical decision- just like double checking your answers on a test if you have extra time!
The next thing to notice is how you’re betting. If everyone knows you check when you’re not confident and bet when you have a strong hand, then you won’t win the big pot often.
You probably want to vary your style of play. Try not to peak at your cards. If you have to peak at your cards, try to be consistent - don’t just peak when you’re not confident. Don’t always bet the same way either. Heck, sometimes losing a hand could help you win a bigger hand if the other players can’t figure out your betting pattern.
Some people really believe in tells, I personally do not believe in them. I do believe in patterns of playing though. Don’t get bogged down in playing the same way. When you do bluff and get away with it DO NOT show your cards, unless you want to get a reaction from the jerk you took the money from (really don’t do it then either). When you are playing act naturaly when you play or show no emotion at all, don’t try to mix it up. Don’t be talkative at all or be talkative all the time, don’t change it up, ever. I win most of my hands on bluffs, because I act the same at every game. I act natural, taking drinks from my water bottle, etc. I don’t stare people down, I don’t wear sun glasses or listen to tunes. I bullsh*t with the players, even the ones not in on the play. Some tables approve, some tables don’t you just have to decide on a style and stick with it. Good luck and I hope you can catch the cards.
I would get a poker mentor that will help you and be honest with you with the tells that he see’s in you

Not sure about poker, but in truco you should try to limit your bluffing to a minimum. For instance the people I play with don’t think I bluff, so once per game I act really excited and they flee in coward even tough I’m probably holding three 4s (lowest hand in truco) then the things changed I switched partners so he knew my bluff technique I acted excited with high cards, he tought I had nothing and I won the hand. Try to find a bluffing technique that works with you, a way you have to lie that people tend to believe.
I recommend Mike Caro’s “Book of Poker Tells”. They don’t call him the Mad Genius for nothing. It’s useful both for gaining insight into what your opponent might be holding and also what you might be sending out. The truth is that you have to choose when to bluff. You won’t scare somebody off a monster. So understanding what they might be holding is just as important as a blank face.
