Yahoo is the only place but then it is limit holdem and you dont play with any good players. If you can afford it and want to get better you should try betzip. its about 20 dollars but they have tournys running like evey 5 or 10 min.
try this site u gotta register but its still free and all also theres alot of different games
Well I always like PokerStars.com for poker generally. There are often over 100,000 players at any given time, and the standard of play is often very good.
However for that slightly more ‘real’ poker experience you might want to check out True Poker. They have a first person 3-D appearance that is quite realistic. In fact you even have to click the mouse to view your hole cards. You can even see when other players do that, so you can see who looks back at their cards.
It’s a pretty interesting experience. Both sites offer hundreds of free play money games.
But to get really good, you might want to look for a local pub poker league. There’s nothing like live poker to practice reading people.
Play money poker games are usually nothing like the real thing. They certainly have their place — they are good for learning the mechanics of the game (how the cards are dealt, the betting structure of the game, for example). But they are almost useless for learning the nuances or strategy of the game.
If you are going to play for fun, I would suggest playing at the play money tables of an online poker site rather than at the fun tables hosted by Yahoo (and other non-poker sites). The players at online poker sites are somewhat more interested in the game and developing their skills, so the games are (at least somewhat) more like the real thing.
My recommendation is to try the play money tables here:
Mansion Poker:
FullTilt:
PokerStars:
Best of luck!

I love PartyPoker.net…check it out.
I play at FullTiltPoker.. You can sign up for an account and you are given 1000 play chips to play with at any play money table. Anytime you get below 1000 play chips, you can reload, and will have 1000 play chips again. You can only do this once every 5 minutes, so if you go broke on the first hand you’re going to have to wait 5 minutes.
With only 1000 play chips there are many tables that you are not allowed to sit down at, because your chip balance is too low. Once you accumulate enough chips to sit at these higher stakes tables you can get some real practice much the same as playing for real money.
If you are playing with people who have just reloaded, then obviously you are not going to get much practice. But once you get up to a couple 100,000 play chips or a couple 1,000,000 then you are going to be getting some real practice..
Here are some good poker rooms.
My girlfriends and I are signed up at most of them.
Good Luck and Have Fun!!!
See you at the tables.
i think poker stars offer the best freeroll games that do pay out a cash prize
