Since they won’t bet on anything spiritual how does that carry over to gambling? When they bluff what goes through their mind? Do they beleive in “Lady Luck?”Who do they say (internally) “Please don’t let that player on the left catch the ace” too?

I imagine they are pretty good at it. They realize that they have to rely on their intellect instead of thinking there’s some guy up in the sky dealing the cards.
they probably rely on the mathmatical properties of the game to work out their chances of winning or loosing …..or they are very good at reading other peoples faces…..i personally like to play poker with myself as it makes it alot harder to loose money
1. So then is your faith actually just a ‘bet’ that God exists? How fascinating and sad.
2. When we bluff, we hope our bluff was convincing enough to chase out our opponents. That’s what a bluff is.
3. Do we believe in random chance. Only an idiot doesn’t.
4. Who do we say ‘please’ to in our heads? No one in particular. We just say it. We aren’t so credulous as to actually imagine that there’s someone somewhere deciding on the outcome of random card drops.
Are you enlightened now?
Since playing poker is a sin, ONLY atheists should play, since they’re going to H - E - double hockey-sticks anyway. If America wasn’t supposed to be a Christian nation, then why was Jesus an American? What, no answer to that? - I didn’t think so. You’ve been served.
